About Torie Chugg

Torie has always loved taking photographs.

Her parents bought her an SLR camera when she was studying for her Art GCSE and she has never looked back. During her Art ‘A’ level and BTEC Foundation in Art & Design, she was often to be found in the darkroom creating photograms and developing photographs.

Torie then studied at Bath Spa University College and graduated with a 2:1 in Graphic Design, having specialised in Photographic Illustration. After university Torie moved to London and assisted various photographers for three years. One of the photographers was Andrew Lawson, a leading garden photographer. Torie already had a passion for photographing flowers and after having assisted Andrew, in the most beautiful gardens around the UK, she realised that she had found her perfect career path.

Torie moved to the Cotswolds and set up her own business as a freelance garden photographer. She works all over the UK from this very beautiful base where she lives with her family.
